Meet Nicole Dodd

Hi, I'm Nicole, it's nice to meet you, too.

I am a qualified hypnotherapist. I studied for my diploma at the East Anglian College of Coaching and Hypnotherapy in Norwich. Where I obtained my Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP) and coaching in August 2019.

Since then I have been to London to train with David Shephard at the Performance Partnership on courses such as Introduction to Huna – learning the ancient Hawaiian practices. How to fix your mind – learning powerful techniques to overcome many obstacles created from the mind. Breakthrough session masterclass – learning how to use the most powerful tools to help people make the biggest changes and How to get online fast – learning how to professionally see clients online in a safe and workable way, this has proved especially useful during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I believe it is important to keep my skills up to date and to learn from the best, which is why I am currently learning Rapid Hypnosis and NLP with Ali Campbell, a well known celebrity hypnotist. I am also nearing the end of training with Larry & Cheryl Elman and will be very soon training with Jason Linett & Richard Nongard to advance my hypnosis skills even further.

A little bit about me

I have many hobbies and interests. I have a keen interest in music and enjoy playing the piano and guitar, albeit it not that well, I do find it enjoyable and a great way to relax.

I am also a keen gardener and during the warmer months can often be seen tending to my veggie patch or growing flowers from seeds. 

My biggest loves are reading and crafting.  When it comes to reading I just love a dystopian novel or building on my fascination of hypnotherapy with studying the greats such as Milton Erickson.

As for crafting, the list is endless.  I often joke that there are not enough hours in the day for all of my interests.  I love to paint, draw, sew, crochet, pyrography, making things on my cricut machine.  I just love being able to make beautiful things and giving them to others. 

I’m also a rather good cook and love to prepare freshly homecooked healthy me for my family. 

And on top of all of that, I love animals and care about the environment and making a positive difference in the world.

Therapy Practice

My therapy practice has been open since 2019.  Not long after setting up my practice COVID-19 hit and that led me to consider new alternative ways to help people.  I now see 99% of my clients via zoom.  I find that this is a much better fit for both myself and my clients.  Firstly it means that I can help anyone who wants my help from anywhere in the world. 

For my clients they find it beneficial to not have the stress of driving to me and dealing with traffic, parking and even taking time off work to make their appointment.  They can now have their appointment during their lunchbreak or even at home.  The beauty of them being at home is that they are already in a place they feel comfortable and relaxed.  They haven’t had the pre-appointment stress and so our sessions are a lot more relaxed and more time is spent with dealing with the issue at hand rather than giving the client time to switch from a place of stress to a place of calm.

I do still offer face to face appointments for those that prefer to meet in person.

My Story

I’ve always found the mind rather interesting, human behaviour and why we do what we do.

A few years ago I had reached a point in my life where the issues I was experiencing were outweighing the positives in my life.  I knew it was time for me to make changes as I struggled with…

  • unable to eat in public places or in front of other people
  • anxiety
  • panic attacks
  • fear of driving
  • low confidence
  • low self esteem
  • overweight
  • insomnia
  • fatigue
  • fear of spiders
  • fear of flying
  • fear of heights
  • fear of dying


I embarked on a Hypnotherapy course and found that as I studied hypnotherapy I was very quickly noticing huge changes within myself. As I began to apply what I had learned on myself, as we practised the techniques on each other in class more and more of my limitations left me. I was happy, the anxiety and panic went away, I gained my confidence back, I lost weight. For me, I felt like I was transitioning from a caterpillar to a butterfly. By the end of my course, the transformation was complete, and I was ready to me be again AND I had this overwhelming enthusiasm for helping others who too had suffered like I had.

I wanted others to know that anxiety and panic do not have to be lifelong conditions and they also do not have to take a long time to recover from. And so here I am sharing my own personal stories about my own transformation. And making it my mission to help others.

I truly believe that because of my own personal experiences with Hypnotherapy and NLP I am the living proof of its benefits. And because I have been to those lows in life it gives me even more determination to help all my clients as I know just how beautiful the high’s can be when you achieve them naturally, holistically and through the power of your own mind.

When clients book with me they know that they don’t receive a treatment, they receive lifelong tools that they know how to use again and again in different situations. They know that they are working alongside a dedicated and passionate individual who will not do the work for them but show them how to help themselves.
